For the Planet
We believe in celebrating love without compromising the health of our planet. The floral industry, often overlooked, plays a significant role in climate change due to its reliance on plastic-based materials.
We recognise there's no one-size-fits-all solution to tackle climate change and environmental pollution, but we're committed to evaluating and implementing the least harmful options to protect our surroundings.
Therefore, our design approach includes:
- Avoiding floral foam due to its non-biodegradable nature and harmful environmental effects. It can persist in landfills for centuries, contributing to plastic pollution and containing chemicals like formaldehyde and phenol.
- Refraining from plastic wrappers for two reasons: Firstly, they are single-use plastics, which contradict our values. Secondly, excessive use detracts aesthetically from the flowers, which should always be the focal point.
- Emphasizing on locally sourced blooms to minimize our carbon footprint.
- Using packaging exclusively made from paper, eco-friendly, and recyclable materials: such as water-activated tape made from Kraft paper, corrugated paper boxes, uncoated paper stickers, cotton ribbons, and soy-based ink for stamping.
This commitment underscores our dedication to preserving the environment through the current crisis and for future generations.
